CheckOHS
Occupational health and safety compliance that is always audit-ready. CheckOHS keeps inspection, equipment, WHMIS and corrective-action records current in one place, so the evidence exists before anybody asks for it. Developed by JPMain Safety, and bilingual in English and French.
What CheckOHS does
Most organizations do not fail an audit because the work was unsafe. They fail because the record of the work is scattered across binders, spreadsheets and somebody's phone, and nobody can produce it on the day it is asked for.
CheckOHS consolidates equipment inspections, facility checks, the WHMIS register and corrective actions into one current record, alongside delegations of authority and compliance documentation. The evidence exists before an auditor asks for it, because producing it is a byproduct of doing the work rather than a separate exercise afterwards.
Core features
- Equipment inspections - scheduled and recorded against the specific asset.
- Fleet and vehicle management - inspections and status for vehicles as well as fixed equipment.
- Out-of-service workflow - when something fails an inspection, it is taken out of service and tracked through to return, rather than noted and forgotten.
- Facility inspections - the walkaround, recorded consistently.
- WHMIS register - maintained and current rather than reconstructed annually.
- Worker's Right To Know - the information workers are entitled to, available to them.
Who uses it
Supervisors and inspectors doing the checks, management needing to see what is outstanding, and field workers who need to know the status of the equipment in front of them. It runs on the devices people already carry, in English and French.
Why it exists
CheckOHS was developed by JPMain Safety, not licensed or resold. It exists because the same problem kept recurring in consulting work: organizations with a genuine safety program and no practical way to demonstrate it. The design follows the same principle as the consulting - a tool people will actually use beats a document that satisfies an audit and changes nothing.

The trial runs for 30 days and covers one location and five users, which is enough to run CheckOHS against your own equipment, facilities and records rather than a sample data set. Get in touch and I will set you up. CheckOHS is live at checkohs.com.
